The career path of a pilot involves continual learning and upscaling of skills. Becoming, and remaining, a safe, professional aviator—equipped with the appropriate knowledge, skills and attitude to manage sophisticated modern equipment—is an on-going journey. Whilst the process demands commitment, dedication and confidence, the end results are most rewarding. At Alt. Academy’s Pilot Training faculty, we understand what it takes to be the best of the best. To this end, our team of qualified airline instructors are dedicated to refining the necessary skills and building resilience and confidence in our trainee pilots.

CTC

We pride ourselves on our in-depth and specialist training, utilising only current instructor pilots with day-to-day, hands-on operational airline experience, ensuring that trainees receive the latest information and knowledge. We offer advanced pilot training, equipping pilots to confidently operate Multi-Crew aircraft. Our programmes provide a turn-key solution for airline operations and include initial and recurrent training for all Boeing 737 and A-320 series type aircraft.

In addition, Alt. Academy’s Pilot Training faculty also provides non-type specific training, such as a range of Multi-crew Co-ordination (MCC) training, Jet Orientation Courses (JOC) as well as a world-class Airline Command preparation course specially designed for future aircraft commanders. Our industry-leading facilities are equipped with state-of-the art classrooms, electronic training platforms and modern fixed base (FBS), full flight simulators (FFS), and static aircraft evacuation trainers to mention but a few. Our simulators have consistently delivered in excess of 99% “up-time” and operate 24 hours per day, 363 days per year. Alt. Pilot Training is fully accredited by the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SA-CAA) as well as numerous other local and international authorities.

By developing crews of the highest professional standards, Alt. Pilot Training is committed to advancing the airline industry not only on the continent but also in the world arena.
