Frequently asked questions

Do you provide bursaries or “On the job” training?
Unfortunately we do not have a bursary programme for Alt. Pilot Training, nor do we provide work experience.
I would like to become a pilot, are you able to assist me in obtaining a pilot’s licence?
We provide advanced training, therefore we require you to be qualified at least as a Commercial Pilot before commencing your training with us. You would need to do your initial training and hour building at a flight school before enrolling with us.
I don’t reside in the area, can you recommend accommodation near your facility?
Yes, we are able to provide a list of Guest Houses and Hotels in the vicinity.
I don’t have a South African licence, am I still able to train with you?
Yes, our courses are approved by various civil aviation authorities.
I would like to enrol for one of your courses, when will the next one be taking place?
Please contact us for a quote, we’ll be able to advise on course dates.
What is your refund policy?
If you have to cancel or postpone your training and you notify us more than 10 business days before the start of the course we will refund you in full. If you notify us less than 10 business days before the start of the course you will be liable for the cost of course material and a cancellation fee of 50% of the course fee. Should you withdraw after commencement of classes you will not be eligible for a refund as we will not be able to fill your position at that stage.
I require a visa to train in South Africa, are you able to assist?
We are not able to apply for a visa on your behalf. Once you have registered and paid we could provide you with a letter confirming your enrolment with us. You may use this letter as motivation in your visa application.
What is the deadline for payment of course fees?
Payment for training programmes will be due within thirty (30) days of the date of invoice or no later than ten (10) business days prior to the commencement of the training programme. All fees and payments must be paid in full prior to the commencement of the training programme, failing which your placement on the training programme will not be guaranteed.
